Jaw Coupling Hub Input Fields
Provide the information you know and distinguish the hub being replaced from components that will remain installed. Exact units, part-number suffixes and the source of an interface designation help preserve the meaning of the request.
| Information | What to provide |
|---|---|
| Original hub | Manufacturer or brand and complete hub part number, if known. Identify this as the hub being replaced. |
| Coupling-side interface | The source-defined family and member interface, or sufficient explicit mating geometry for the retained coupling. |
| Retained components | Identify the opposing hub, spider, shaft, key or bush only if they are actually retained. Give their markings where known. |
| Shaft and bore | Nominal shaft diameter and units; state whether the hub needs a finished bore, a different bore execution, or a particular shaft fit. |
| Keyway or other interface | Applicable keyway dimensions and fit, spline profile or taper/bush interface when known. |
| Installation and envelope | Available space, engagement, assembly direction or access where these are requirements. |
| Service requirements | Operating torque, speed, duty, temperature or environmental requirements when applicable. |
A size label or bore alone does not establish the coupling-side interface. If the old hub cannot be identified, a supported interface definition or sufficient mating geometry can support discovery. If the shaft-side requirement is unknown, candidates may require further confirmation before they can be selected for that shaft.
Do not infer a hub part number from the part number of a spider, opposing hub or complete coupling. Distinguish a stated operating requirement from a catalogue capacity.
