V-Belt Intake Fields
Launch Paths
Section titled “Launch Paths”| Input path | Minimum fields | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Exact part number | identity.selected_part_number | Best path when the belt marking/order code is known. |
| Belt code + normalized length | belt_spec.belt_code, belt_spec.belt_family, length.marking_system, length.basis, length.raw_length_string, length.matcher_length_value | Strong path when profile and length basis are known. |
Identity And Cross-Section Parameters
Section titled “Identity And Cross-Section Parameters”| Field key | Label | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
identity.selected_part_number | Part Number | Printed V-belt part number. | AX42 |
identity.manufacturer | Manufacturer | Belt brand or manufacturer. | Gates |
belt_spec.belt_code | Belt Code | Exact belt section/profile code. | A, AX, SPB, 5V |
belt_spec.belt_family | Belt Family | Belt family classification. | CLASSICAL, NARROW |
cross_section.top_width_mm | Top Width (mm) | Belt top width. | 13.0 |
cross_section.thickness_mm | Thickness (mm) | Belt thickness/height. | 8.0 |
construction.construction | Construction | Wrapped, cogged, or other construction style. | WRAPPED, COGGED |
Length Symbols And Parameters
Section titled “Length Symbols And Parameters”| Field key | Symbol / value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
length.marking_system | Marking system | System used by the printed belt marking, for example inch inside-length code or ISO metric datum length. |
length.basis | Li, La, Ld, Le | Physical basis for the printed length. |
length.source_length_symbol | Source symbol | Exact symbol seen beside the length, such as Li, La, Ld, or Le. |
length.raw_length_string | Raw printed length | Source-faithful length string from the belt. |
length.matcher_length_value | Normalized matcher length | Numeric length value used downstream. |
length.matcher_length_anchor_key | Normalized matcher identity | Exact, derived, or approximate identity key for downstream matching. |
length.matcher_length_anchor_mode | Identity mode | Whether the normalized identity is exact, derived, or approximate. |
length.matcher_length_anchor_confidence | Identity confidence | Confidence attached to the normalized length identity. |
Common Length Symbols
Section titled “Common Length Symbols”| Symbol | Meaning |
|---|---|
Li | Inside length. Common on classical/inch markings. |
La | Outside length. |
Ld | Datum or pitch/reference length, often used in metric narrow contexts. |
Le | Effective length. |
Requirement Parameters
Section titled “Requirement Parameters”| Field key | Meaning |
|---|---|
requirements.safe_mode | Conservative matching mode. |
requirements.small_pulley_diameter_in | Small pulley diameter for drive checks. |
requirements.rpm_small | Small pulley speed. |
requirements.motor_hp | Motor horsepower. |
requirements.service_factor | Service factor for drive demand. |
requirements.application_criticality | Application criticality. |
requirements.strict_pooling | Whether candidate pooling should be strict. |
Input Notes
Section titled “Input Notes”- Belt code without length is only a partial draft.
- Raw length and basis must be kept separate;
42means different things depending on marking system and basis. matcher_length_valueis downstream identity data, not necessarily the exact printed value.- Approximate or derived length identity can block drop-in treatment.
