Length Symbols And Parameters

length.basis	Li, La, Ld, Le	Physical basis for the printed length.
length.source_length_symbol	Source symbol	Exact symbol seen beside the length, such as Li, La, Ld, or Le.
length.raw_length_string	Raw printed length	Source-faithful length string from the belt.
length.matcher_length_value	Normalized matcher length	Numeric length value used downstream.
length.matcher_length_anchor_key	Normalized matcher identity	Exact, derived, or approximate identity key for downstream matching.
length.matcher_length_anchor_mode	Identity mode	Whether the normalized identity is exact, derived, or approximate.
length.matcher_length_anchor_confidence	Identity confidence	Confidence attached to the normalized length identity.

Common Length Symbols

Symbol	Meaning
Li	Inside length. Common on classical/inch markings.
La	Outside length.
Ld	Datum or pitch/reference length, often used in metric narrow contexts.
Le	Effective length.

Input Notes

• Belt code without length is only a partial draft.
• Raw length and basis must be kept separate; 42 means different things depending on marking system and basis.
• matcher_length_value is downstream identity data, not necessarily the exact printed value.
• Approximate or derived length identity can block drop-in treatment.
